Back when I was about 11, maybe 12, my grandfather asked me what my favorite art style was. I told him Impressionism, because I had recently learned what that was, and fallen madly in love with the style. He responded to this request by giving me a book of Pierre-Auguste Renoir's works, and it sparked a lifetime pursuit of being able to replicate the style myself. My other lifetime pursuit has been to put metal in my face, starting with a bridge piercing I got on the day after my 18th birthday. Sadly, this piercing migrated after a year, and then I had to take it out, and honestly- Impressionism isn't really how I naturally create art. Maybe neither of these things was actually for me, but I'm a dreamer, and it's fun to try other styles that aren't mine, and I really miss that bridge piercing.
